    Processing - Sales Price Updates - Sales Price Maintenance Journal

    The Sales Price Maintenance Journal is used to update one or multiple sales price lists or templates, which then updates the Resource Prices page with the updates.

    Calculate Resources Sales Prices

    Run the Calculate Resources Sales Prices process to fill the Sales Price Maintenance Journal.

    Options

    Field Name Description
    Include Specifies the type of Prices to include when performing Calculate Prices to fill the Sales Price Maintenance Journal. Options:
    - Resource Prices Only
    - Sales Price Templates Only
    - Both
    Effective Date Specifies the new Start Date to use when calculating Prices.
    Rounding Method Specifies a code for the Rounding Method to apply to Prices.
    Calculation Method Specifies the Calculation Method to use when calculating new Prices.
    Set Price Sets the new price to a specified Price.
    Change by Amount calculates the new Price by adding a specified additional Amount to the existing Price.
    Change by Percent increases or decreases the existing Price by a specified Percentage.
    New Price Specifies set new Price to apply.
    Addition Amount Specifies additional amount to add to or subtract from existing Price.

    Filter Resource Prices

    Use the Filter Resource Prices FastTab to enter or select values to specific parameters. The following filters are available:

    • Start Date
    • Project No.
    • Task Code
    • Type (i.e. Resource, Item, etc.)
    • Code (i.e. Resource Code)
    • Created from Template Code (i.e. Sales Prices created from a specific Template Code)

    Filter Sales Price Templatelines

    Use the Filter Sales Price Templatelines FastTab to enter or select values to specific parameters. You The following filter are available:

    • Template
    • Start Date
    • Type
    • Code

    Advanced

    Use the Advanced FastTab to enter parameters to control rendering of the report by different factors. Options:

    Field Name Description
    Maximum rendering time: Specifies the maximum time it can take to render the report. If exceeded, the report will be canceled. The value must have the format [d.]hh:mm:ss[.ffffff]. Milliseconds can be included but will be ignored.
    Maximum rows Specifies the maximum number of rows that can be included in this report. If exceeded, the report will be canceled.
    Maximum documents Specifies the maximum number of documents that can be included in this report. Notice that this setting applies to document reports only. If exceeded, the report will be canceled.
    Note

    Select OK to display the filtered results in the grid. Edits can be made to the various fields before running the Apply New Prices process.

    Line Type Specifies where this line was created. Defaulted value is Resource Price.
    Template Code Specifies the Sales Price Template Code related to this line. For more information on setting up a Sales Price Template see:

    - Sales Price Update Templates
    Start Date: Specifies the current effective date of this line.
    Project No. Specifies the Project related to this line.
    Task Code Specifies the Project Task related to this line.
    Work Type Code Specifies the Work Type related to this line.
    Currency Code Specifies the Currency Code related to this line.
    Type Specifies the Type of Code for this line.
    Code Specifies the Code related to this line.
    Resource Group No. Specifies the Resource Group related to this line.
    Unit of Measure Code Specifies the Unit of Measure related to this line.
    Current Price Specifies the Current Price.
    Current OT Factor Specifies the Current Factor to multiply Price by to get the OT Price Rate.
    Current OT2 Factor Specifies the Current Factor to multiply Price by to get the OT2 Price Rate.
    Note

    Fields in the grid of the Sales Price Maintenance Journal page beginning with Effective Date (see below) can be edited.

    Effective Date Specifies the Date on which the new Price will be effective.
    New Price Specifies the new Price.
    New Chargeability Specifies the new Chargeability option.
    New OT Factor Specifies the new factor to multiply Price by to get the OT Price Rate.
    New OT2 Factor Specifies the new factor to multiply Price by to get the OT2 Price Rate.

    Apply New Prices

    Use the Apply New Prices process to apply calculated prices to the resource price list and/or sales price templates once the Calculate Resource Sales process is run.

    1. Select Apply New Prices.

    2. Select Yes to proceed to apply new Prices.

    3. Select OK to message Price updates have been applied.

    4. The changes can be reviewed by navigating to the Role Center > Resource > Resource Prices.

      Note

      Sales Price updates do not update closed Projects.

      Tip

      Calculations must be deleted - they will not be removed when the page is closed or a new Calculation is done.
