Setting up Project Codes
Project Codes are used to categorize various types of values that are used in the system to provide options in setup screens. New Project Codes cannot be created, and new code values that are associated with a specific Project Code can be added or deleted. To access Project Codes, navigate to the Role Center > Project Setup> Project Codes.
An example of this would be a Project Code called CONTRACTCHG (description: Contract Change). When setting it up, there can be multiple Codes (or values) under the Project Code CONTRACTCHG as follows:
- EXPENSE: Expense Changes
- ITEM: Item Changes
- RESOURCES: Resource Changes
Another Project Code named INSTYPE (Insurance Type) could be set up with the following values:
- GEN L: General Liability Insurance
- VHC: Vehicle Insurance
- WRK COM: Workers Compensation Insurance
Modify Codes
To modify the code values for an existing Project Code, navigate to the Role Center > Actions > Setup > Project Setup > Project Codes.
Highlight a Project Code, then from the ribbon select Manage > Edit.
Click New Line to add a new Code value or Delete line to delete a Code value.
