Resource Board
The Resource Board shows Work Assignments in a calendar view for all Resources in an organization. Filters can be used to show an individual Resource or a Resource Group.
From the Role Center, select Resource Planning > Resource Board.

Important
When 2 dots are used before a date, all entries prior to the date will be reassigned, adjusted, copied, or deleted. When 2 dots are used after a date, all entries after the date will be affected. Filters provide additional options to specify the entry(s) selected, e.g., Resource, Project, and Task numbers.
Note
The starting time on the calendar will be shown based on the system time zone. The Work Assignment shows the actual time for the work being done.
Reassign work...
Reassign work is used to assign another Resource or Resource Group to existing Work Assignments.
Click Home > Reassign work...
- The Reassign Work Assignments page opens.
- Options:
Field Name Description New Resource Number Specifies the number of the Resource that will replace the existing Resource on that Work Assignment. New Resource Group Number Specifies the number of the Resource Group that will replace the existing Resource Group on that Work Assignment. Adjust work assign. dates
Adjust work assign. dates is used to change one or multiple Work Assignments using a formula.
Click Home > Adjust work assign. dates...
- The Move Work Assignments page opens.

Copy Work Assignments
Copy Work Assignments is used to copy one or multiple Work Assignments.
In the Resource Board, select a Resource and a Work Assignment within the grid.
Click Home > Copy work assignments.
The Copy work assignments page opens.

Delete Work Assignments
Delete Work Assignments is used to delete a section of Work Assignments.
Click Home > Delete work assignments...
The Delete Work Assignments page opens.

Import Budget
Import Budget is used to import entries from Project Budgets as Work Assignments.
Click Home > Import Budget.
The Proj. Budget to Res. Plan page opens.

Field Name Description Use Start and End Time Specifies that the start and end times from the budget entry will be used on the Work Assignment Card. Important
The following field (Disregard Capacity (<24h) is only displayed if the Include Start and End Time field is selected (true).
Disregard Capacity (<24h) Specifies, if selected (true) that assignment of less than 24 hours will use the exact budgeted date and time, even if there is no capacity. Examples: Budget Entry Use Start and End Time Disregard Capacity (<24H)>) Result 5 hours (8:00am-1:00pm) FALSE FALSE The Work Assignment has no specific start and end time, i.e., it is from midnight to midnight. 5 hours (8:00am-1:00pm) TRUE FALSE The Work Assignment start and end time matches the Budget Entry. 12 hours (8:00am – 8:00pm) TRUE FALSE The Work Assignment does not go over Capacity, it instead covers multiple days. Resource Board > Filter
Filter > Filters: Used to set filters that define which Resources and/or Resource Groups are shown on the Resource Board.
Tip
CTRL+F will also display the Resource Board Filter parameters.
Edit - Resource Filters page opens.
Add filters to narrow the which Resources and/or Resource Groups are shown on the Resource Board.

Resource Board > Display
Set Coloring
The Display > Set Coloring is sed to create or select a rule that defines the colors used on the Resource Board.
From the Resource Board, select Display > Set Coloring.
The Style Rule Sets (Planning) page opens.
Select +New to create a Rule.
Note
+ New must be used to create the Rule. Using the existing blank does not.
Field Name Description Code User defined to identify the Rule. Description Free form text information for the Rule. Click OK to create the Style Code.
From the menu, click the ellipsis Show as menu for coloring Work Assignments.
Click Setup to open the Style Rules page.
On the Style Rules page, click on + New to set up the following:
Field Name Description Code Specifies a unique code that identifies the Rule. Priority Specifies the ordering of the Rule in relation to other rules. Conditions Specifies the filters which, when met, will trigger the Rule. Click the field to open the Filter page. Use the filters to narrow the results to those conditions to which the Rule should be applied. The conditions will populate the field after selection. The color will be displayed on the Work Assignment on the calendar. Click OK to return to the Style Rules page.
Field Name Description Color Specifies the unique name identifying the color. When the filtered condition is met, the Work Assignment will be highlighted with this color. Click in the Color field.
Choose a color or click on Select from full list. The Select - Planning Colors page opens.
Choose a color or sSelect +New to create a custom color. The Hex Value will be needed.
Edit List allows you to change a Hex Value or delete colors. - Click OK to exit.
Resource Board > Select View Template
From the Resource Board, select Display > Select View Template.
The View Templates page opens.
Field Name Description Code User defined to identify the Template. Usage Identifies where the Template is used in Resource Planning. Description Free form text information for the Template. Default Specifies if this Template will be used by default.
View Template Card
Select +New to create a Template (or select an existing Template).
The View Template Card page opens. Card should be completed with an understanding of the fields and their usage.

The information in the following section specifies the content to be shown in the Resource Board. Select options to display in the dropdown fields for each field:

The Tooltip FastTab of the View Template Card controls what can be seen when you hover over the Resource Work Assignment.

Manage
From the View Template list, select the ellipsis – Manage.
- Select Edit to view or edit the Template settings for the Template Code.
- Select View to see the settings for the Template Code.
- Select Delete to remove the Template Code from the list.
Timelines
From the View Templates list, select the ellipsis - Related > Timelines. The View Template Timelines page opens.
Select + New to create a new Usage entry
Field Name Description Edit List Select to make changes to the information in the matrix. Usage Identifies where the Template is used in Resource Planning. Period Type Specifies the possible time periods for Resources, e.g., week, month. Used to allow a selection of the time periods to display information on the Resource Board calendar. Label Information identifying the Period Type, e.g., week, month. Period Length Determines how the Period Type is displayed. Show Weekend If selected, the calendar will include weekend days, Saturday, and Sunday. Sequence Determines the order in which the “Labels” will appear on the Resource Board page. Enabled If selected, true, the Timeline will be available for the user to select.
