Time entry in Outlook
The Outlook Integration for Progressus enables the user to do time entry in Outlook email and calendar, prevents work from being forgotten or missed. Done on a regular basis, it rewards a structured way of working, making it possible to quickly review and submit a timesheet.

Tip
If you work with more that one Business Central company, you can easily switch between companies in Outlook. In the add-in's action bar, choose More Actions, and then you can see the option for switching between companies.

Time entry from email
When you receive an email from a customer that needs your attention as part of a Customer Project, you can record the time you spent directly in Outlook and have that time posted to the Project.
The Outlook Timesheet Add-in for Progressus is opened directly in Outlook,and the add-in recognizes the date and email subject of the E-Mail to populate date and description fields in the Timesheet Add-in. By adding Project No., Project Task Code and Quantity, the time entry will instantly update the Timesheet in Microsoft Dynamics D365 Business Central.
Using the Outlook Add-in for Time Entry
In Outlook (web), open a new email or calendar entry.
Click the ellipse on the right side of the email, near the date/time.
Select Business Central Time Entry add-in from the list.
In the Outlook Time Entry Add-in page that opens, enter:
Field Name | Description |

Project No. | Specifies the number of the Project used for the time entry. |
Project Task Code | Specifies the number of the related Project Task used for the time entry. |
Date | Specifies the posting Date you want to assign to the time entry. |
Quantity | Specifies the time worked. |
Description | Specifies the Description of the work performed. |
Time Pay Type | Specifies the Pay Type of the work performed, i.e., Regular, Overtime, Overtime 2. |
Work Type Code | Specifies which Work Type the Resource applies to when the entry is related to a Project. |
Hour Bank No. | Specifies an Hour Bank to which the usage will be charged. |
Chargeable | Specifies if the Usage that is being posted is chargeable. |
Click X to close the Outlook Time Entry Add-in page when time entry is completed. There is no submit process or button. The entry is automatically synched to Timesheet Entry.

Time entry from Calendar booking
If you have booking in your Outlook Calendar which shall be posted to a Project, you can open the Timesheet Add-in, which recognizes the date, time and subject to populate the Date, Quantity and Description fields. By adding Project No. and Project Task Code, the time entry will instantly update the Timesheet once the Include on Timesheet field is checked. Any field can be changed as appropriate.
If the booking has been sent out from Progressus, the Timesheet Add-in may also contain Project No. and Project Task Code. If so, the user only has to check the Include on Timesheet field.
