    Adjust Prices on Subscription Orders

    When a set of prices needs an adjustment on a Subscription Order, or across multiple Subscription Orders, it can be done with a Subscription Price Adjustment batch job.

    Note

    Prices on Subscription Orders are by default automatic and will be updated when posting or when running Refresh Prices from the Subscription Order > Actions > Refresh Prices. Price adjustment can only be run on lines with the Subscription Order > Lines > Manual Price field selected.

    To adjust manual prices

    The batch job multiplies the value in the field by an Adjustment Factor that is specified.

    Tip

    Prices can be also adjusted in the Subscription Order by selecting Actions > Adjust Prices.

    1. Choose the Search icon, enter Adjust Subscription Prices, and then choose the related link.
    Field Name Description
    Effective Date Specifies the date when the new adjusted price will be effective. If a date is not entered, the new price will default to the current Work Date. The Effective Date determines when the new price is applied in posting.
    - When posting a Subscription Order, lines that have entries in Subscription Price with an Effective Date before or at the start of the period, but not inside the period, will generate one entry using the price from Subscription Price.
    - When posting a Subscription Order, lines that have entries in Subscription Price with an Effective Date inside the period, will generate one entry per line entry and period.
    Adjustment Factor Specifies an Adjustment Factor to multiply the Unit Prices. By entering an Adjustment Factork you can increase or decrease the Unit Price. For example, enter 1.5 to increase the value by 50%.
    Rounding Method Specifies a code for the Rounding Method to adjust selected prices.
    Filter (Header) Used to set filters that specify which orders to process with the batch job.
    - No.: Specifies the Subscription Order No. to use as a filter.
    - Price Index Adjust: Specifies whether to include the Price Index Adjust (if one is setup on the Subscription Order) in the Subscription Price Adjustment batch job. Options are Yes or No.
    - Price Index Code: Specifies which Price Index Code to use in the adjustment.
    - +Filter: Click + Filter to optionally add additional filter fields.
    Filter: Lines Used to set additional filters to specify which orders to include in the price calculation batch job.
    - Document No.
    - Active
    - Project No.
    - Task Code
    - Type
    - +Filter: Click + Filter to optionally add additional filter fields.

    Click OK to create the Subscription Price Adjustment batch.

    Note

    For every Subscription Order Line where the prices are adjusted, a Subscription Price Entry with an Order No., Line No., Date, previous Price, new Price, Adjustment Factor, and Rounding Method will be saved. The history can be accessed from Related Information > Price History on the Subscription Order Lines.

    Price Index Adjustments

    Rules for price adjustment can be defined using two fields in the Details FastTab of the Subscription Order.

    Field Name Description
    Price Index Adjust Can be set to indicate that the prices should be adjusted. There is no logic connected to this field, it is purely for information and filtering.
    Price Index Code This field is a lookup into a list of Subscription Prices Indexes, each having a non-blank Code and a Description. There is no logic connected to this field, it is purely for information and filtering.
    Price Adjusted This field displays the date the last change was made.

    Subscription Prices Indexes

    Subscription Prices Indexes page allows the setup of price agreements (indexes). These indexes are referenced by a Code and Description and are used for informational and filtering use only

    Navigate to the Subscription Order page > Details FastTab > Price Index Code. Select the drop-down and choose Select from full list. Alternately, use the Search, enter Subscription Prices Indexes and select the related link.

    Field Name Description
    Code Specifies a unique, user defined, identifier to classify the Subscription Price Index. Example: RPI-Retail Price Index.
    Description Specifies information about the Subscription Price Index. Example: Month and Value - MM/YYYY + 0.31%.
